Abstract
Peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa menjadi fokus utama dalam pembelajaran Al-Qur'an Hadits. Artikel ini mengeksplorasi pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran Al-Qur'an Hadits, khususnya materi syukur dan sabar. Penelitian menggunakan desain eksperimen semu dengan nonequivalent control group design. Data dikumpulkan melalui pretest dan posttest, serta dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik seperti t-test, uji N-Gain, dan analisis ukuran efek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran CTL memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dalam kemampuan berpikir kritis. Kelompok eksperimen yang mengikuti pembelajaran CTL menunjukkan peningkatan yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol yang mengikuti pembelajaran direksional. Analisis data juga menunjukkan ukuran efek yang besar pada kelompok eksperimen, menandakan efektivitas model pembelajaran CTL dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Temuan ini konsisten dengan penelitian sebelumnya yang menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan pendekatan kontekstual dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Oleh karena itu, disarankan untuk menerapkan model pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan kontekstual dalam pembelajaran Al-Qur'an Hadits untuk meningkatkan pencapaian akademik siswa secara efektif.
Improving students' critical thinking skills is the main focus in learning Al-Qur'an Hadith. This article explores the effect of applying Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model in improving students' critical thinking skills in the subject of Al-Qur'an Hadith, especially the material of gratitude and patience. The research used a pseudo-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. Data were collected through pretest and posttest, and analyzed using statistical tests such as t-test, N-Gain test, and effect size analysis. The results showed that the application of the CTL learning model had a significant impact on improving student learning outcomes in critical thinking skills. The experimental group that followed CTL learning showed greater improvement than the control group that followed directional learning. Data analysis also showed a large effect size in the experimental group, signaling the effectiveness of the CTL learning model in improving students' critical thinking skills. This finding is consistent with previous research which shows that learning with a contextual approach can improve students' critical thinking skills. Therefore, it is recommended to apply more interactive and contextualized learning models in learning Al-Qur'an Hadith to effectively improve students' academic achievement
