Abstract
Pendidikan merupakan hal penting bagi manusia dalam kehidupannya. Pendidikan formal di Indonesia dibagi menjadi beberapa tingkatan, salah satunya dalah tingkat menengah atau dikenal dengan SMA atau MA sederajat, dan dilihat dari segi pembelajarannya setiap lembaga pendidikan pasti memiliki karakteristik teknik pembelajarannya masing-masing. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah, guna mengetahui apakah jenis asal sekolah pada jenjang menengah para mahasiswa memiliki pengaruh terhadap nilai Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK) semester pertama mahasiswa. Penelitian ini memilih mahasiwa Pendidikan Bahsa Arab, Fakultas Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan, Universitas Islam Negri Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta yang berjumlah 59 mahasiswa, sebagai populasinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif, serta menggunakan teknik convenience sampling dalam pengambilan sampel penelitian. Peneliti mengambil data menggunakan kuesioner atau angket, serta menggunakan uji regersi dalam teknik analisis datanya. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah, bahwasannya tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara jenis asal sekolah terhadap Indek Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK) semester pertama mahasiswa Pendidikan Bahasa Arab Angkatan 2020 Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta.
Education is an important thing for humans life. Formal education in Indonesia are divided into several levels, one of which is the middle level or known as SMA or MA and their equivalent, from a learning point of view, each educational institution is having its own learning technique characteristics. The purpose of this research is in order to find out to determine whether the type of school origin at the secondary level of students has an influence on the Grade Point Average (GPA) scores of students' first semester. This research has chosen the students of Arabic Language Education, Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University, Yogyakarta, with a total of 59 students, as the population. This research uses quantitative research methods. Convenience sampling technique was used in the sampling of this research. Researchers took data using a questionnaire, as well as using the regression test for analyzing data technique. The results of the research obtained were that there was no significant influence between the type of school origin on the first semester Grade Point Average (GPA) of Arabic Language Education students Class of 2020, Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University, Yogyakarta.
